Using Folio

Folio turns documents you upload into audio and provides optional AI document answers and invite-only book clubs. The service is for people aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, use it only with permission from a parent or guardian. Upload only content you own or have permission to use. Sharing a listening link or adding a book to a club requires permission to share the document text and generated audio. Private links do not confer copyright permission.

Audio minutes

The standard web price is $5 USD for 1,000 audio minutes; any active limited-time offer is shown before checkout. A minute-pack purchase adds 1,000 audio minutes and is a one-time charge. It does not automatically renew. New eligible accounts receive 10 trial minutes. The app shows a narration estimate before generation. A full generation reserves up to the amount you approve, settles actual generated audio within that reservation, and releases unused reserved minutes. Failed or canceled conversions release their held reservation.

Unlimited subscription

Unlimited costs $15 USD per month and renews automatically each month until you cancel. Stripe shows the final web charge and any applicable tax before you pay. On iPhone, the App Store shows localized prices and charges your Apple Account; the displayed App Store price applies. Unlimited applies to new generation during paid access. Listening, sharing and offline downloads are included. For web purchases, a payment confirmation email includes the price, renewal and cancellation instructions.

Cancel online

Open Settings → Billing and select Cancel monthly plan. One click stops future renewal. Cancel before your next renewal to avoid the next charge. Access continues through your paid period; there is no automatic prorated refund. Your paid-through date and cancellation status appear in Billing. Cancellation does not delete your books or downloaded copies.

For App Store subscriptions, manage or cancel in Apple Account subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Access continues through the paid period. Use Restore purchases while signed into the original Folio account; minute packs remain in that account’s synced balance. App Store refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

For a mistaken charge, failed purchase or refund request, contact goodrishi@yahoo.com with the purchase reference. Refunds are reviewed by the operator; no automatic refund workflow is offered. Nothing here limits refund, cancellation or other rights required by applicable law.

Your content and voice

You retain your rights in your documents and recordings. You authorize Folio to store and process them to provide the features you choose, including narration and sharing. Upload only your own voice for voice setup. Do not impersonate others, upload unlawful content or use the service to infringe rights. See copyright notices and repeat infringement.

AI answers, storage and deletion

Folio AI answers are generated by an AI model and can be wrong. Check their source excerpts. Standard cloud books expire after one year; permanent books do not automatically expire. Deletion and sharing limitations are described in the privacy policy. Keep your own backup of anything you need to retain.
